NATIONAL PARK OF CHILOÉ, TANTAUCO Y TEPUHUEICO

In Chiloé you will find these three parks. They are characterized by a great variety of trails, with its typical vegetation of the area, where you can find coigües, tepúes, cinnamon and myrtle, between other trees, ferns and plants. Festivals and Ceremonies

  • Festival of Local Customs Chilote: Festival which takes place in the month of February. Music, crafts, food and dance of the area.
  • Nazarene of Caguach: Performed on August 30, and honors the patron.
  • Folk Festival Of Coche Molina: The second week of February is performed on Castro and lasts 5 days and involved different folk groups.
  • Folk Meeting of Archipelago: One of the most important folkloric events of Chiloe and is done in Achao.
  • Festival Creole Of Chonchi
  • Festival of Grinding: Is held the first week of February in Curaco of Veléz.
  • Feast of the Virgen de la Candelaria: Performed on February 2.
  • Reitimiento of Pig of Queilen: The best Party of Chiloe in Winter, the second or third weekend of July.
  • Great Yoco Chilote: The second week of July is performed in Llicaldad.
  • Feast of the Sacrifice Chilote: It's the last week of January, in Quellón.
  • Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes: Performed at February 11.
