  • Minimum age required : 22 years old.
  • Minimum rental: 24 hours.
  • The following documentation will be required for rental: Valid Driver's License, ID or Passport and a Credit Card signed voucher ( the minimum amount requested is $ 350.000 chilean pesos, but it will depend on car group and days of rental ),  as guarantee for additional services, extras or damages not included in rate. This documentation is mandatory even if the reservation is prepaid.
  • Credit Cards allowed:Visa, Mastercard, Dinners and American Express. The Credit Card's owner must be present at the moment of rental.
  • Prepaid reservations at www.europcar.cl through Webpay or by Presto Credit Card, can only be cancelled by the owner of the reservation and the credit card. Cancellations are allowed until a term nonsuperior to 48 working hours before the vehicle's delivery date and hour. In this case Europcar will only refund  the 80% of the transaction. If the cancellation corresponds to a term inferior to the mentioned before, the total amount of the transaction will not apply to any refund, as well as any reimbursemets will apply if the car was rented less days than the originally prepaid ones or the nonfulfillment of rental requirements (credit card guarantee, minumum age required, driver's license).
  • All rented vehicles have the following deductables for all and each event: Audi A6 USD 900, Audi A4 and W2: USD 450 plus tax. Categories: A1,B1,C1,C3,D1,D2,E2,V2 USD 135 plus tax. Categories:  F1,F2,G2,G3,H1,I1,I3,J1,J3,,W1,O1,O3 and P1: USD 225 plus tax.  Prices estimated in dollars subject to change
  • All 4x4 ( 4WD) vehicles will have an extra charge in case of turn over, this charge will correspond to U.F 20 plus tax ( aprox USD 970, subject to change ).
  • In case of car theft, there will be an extra charge of UF 30 plus tax(aprox USD 1.160, subject to change ) applicable to all vehicles and all locations.
  • In order to credit miles or kilometers with associated airlines, passengers will have to mention their partner number  at the time of initiating the rental. Kilometers or miles will not be credited if this information were not granted in the beginning of rental.
  • Rentals initiated in any location of Santiago, an additional charge  will be applied ( Free Flow highways, TAG ). It corresponds to $4.701 chilean pesos per day of rental , tax included. The same charge will apply for those rentals initiated in any office within Chile, but which drop off is in any office within Santiago, the cost will only correspond to one(1)  day of TAG ($ 4.701).
  • For those rentals starting in any airport location, a charge of 5% will be applied.
  • One way charges may apply by returning the car in a different location from wich it was delivered.
  • GPS devices could be requested through www.europcar.cl, nevertheless its confirmation is based on availabilty at the moment of rental. It has a deductible of U.F 18 plus tax ( aprox USD 830 ) in case of loss, robbery or damage.
  • Europcar Chile allows to cross border to Argentina only. Seven days advanced reservatios is required. Renters must fax a photocopy copy of driver's license and passport at the reservation fax number 56-2-5983233 or e-mail to reservas@tattersall.cl for all locations except Punta Arenas wich fax number is 56-61-202721 in order to prepare paperwork that must be presented to Customs. Argentinean citizens cannot cross with a rented chilean car from Chile to Argentina. Exception Argentinean citizens who have been living in Chile for a minimum of 5 years and able to provide proof of their residency. Cost for Cross Border Permit: 1 to 15 days outside chilean territory, USD 121 approximately including tax, 16 to 30 days outside chilean territory, USD 243 approximately including tax. Europcar Chile will not be responsible if the renter is not able to cross the border if renter did not send all required paperwork within the correct period to the above mentioned fax numbers. 
  • Drop off outside chilean territory is not allowed.
  • Europcar confirms vehicle's category not model, color or any specific brand.
  • The final renting price will be set once the vehicle is returned physically in any of Europcar Location in Chile.
  • Europcar will maintain your reserved vehicle until a maximum period of  1 hour after the scheduled time, mentioned in the reservation.
  • The rented car must be returned with full tank gas, otherwise a refuelling charge will be applied.
  • In case of loss or theft of the vehicle's documentation , Europcar will apply a charge of $5.000 chilean pesos.
